Anya's not used to being scolded - and yet she's still giggling because she really does think that she managed to win this one maybe? She doesn't win against Yuri, really. So she's ducking a little bit even as she laughs.]

Which is what happens when she hears the front doors open and - there's a familiar voice? Her Auntie's voice? She stops mid-sentence and startles, because she thinks she remembers something about her Auntie having a date on Valentine's and. Oh. Oh.

Anya's normally polite to a fault and not prone to rule-breaking of any sort unless someone else suggests it, but she knows that she definitely can't be seen here. Cue a quick and rushed:]

[Before she's going to go ahead and leap over the counter in a fluid motion and then ducking out of plain sight. Oh.]

( he's about to threaten to text Yuuri Katsuki when Anya is vaulting over the counter and ducking down behind it as two people enter the area; one he recognises from Founder's Day. the other he does not. probably. it's also a matter of how much he cares.

instead, as subtle punishment and also to help Anya hide, he lifts up his Comet head, then sets it down.

congratulations, she is now a table. but past that, he does what any teen employee does; work, perhaps not as hard as he could, and otherwise wave on a bunch of people who largely don't notice him so that the other employee working with him can handle the fine art of dealing in knife shoes. though he should be getting out there and handing out flyers.

[to be honest when comet's head comes down, Anya's so startled and amused that she has to clasp a hand over her own mouth to make sure that she doesn't giggle and give herself away. silly Anya, tables don't giggle.

when Yuri knocks on Comet's head, that's the only time that she lets herself laugh - because she admits it's pretty silly. Pretty funny. The past twenty minutes have been pretty funny, but she'll just shake her head - and Comet's.... - before lifting the mascot head up and into her hands even as she's still a mess of giggles.]

but she'll properly stand and give Comet's head back to its rightful owner, helping situate it over Yuri's head as she gives a wave and a smile]
