The other girl is a steadfast, patient, and encouraging presence in all things and someone that Anya can sincerely consider a friend of hers. |

➣ an attitude problem? ➣ probably just misunderstood To be honest, she doesn't understand Noah that well. There are comments that he makes, primarily regarding how to handle rude people while kind of being rude himself(?), that just fly right over her head. Yet despite the way that he talks, he's gone out of his way to try to give her advice and make sure that she's not doing too poorly. That alone is enough to reassure her that he has a good heart. If nothing else, she's happy to share bentos with him each day if he wants. |

The other girl is crafty, capable, and driven in ways that Anya can't quite fathom - especially considering the tactics that she uses sometimes.... But even though Anya doesn't quite understand Anise's money-wanting ways, she assumes that it probably comes from a good place. |
Mr. Izunia ( Ardyn Izunia | Final Fantasy XV ) ♦ ➣ dating auntie ?

Anya does want to get to know him better beyond that, really, especially since as far as she's concerned it might just be a matter of time until she calls him Uncle... but for right now, her understanding is mostly from the context of looking out for her Auntie. That said, he does seem to make her happy... and that's really all that Anya needs. Now if he needs love advice, she's more than willing to provide! |

There's never a moment where Anya doesn't feel taken care of - the woman is occasionally something of a second mother to her? She knows that whenever she has a question, whether it's about the stars or life, she can count on Ms. Menodora to give her a thoughtful and patient answer. |

➣ florist at enchanted blossoms Someone that Anya has more recently met, but from what she can tell, Chloe is a kind person. On top of that, she works at Enchanted Blossoms with Mikoto and Dave? Therefore that immediately gives her points as far as Anya's concerned. Chloe is just as inquisitive as Anya about the whole Retrospec business, so she hopes to be able to work with her more in that direction. |
Occhan ( Chuuya Nakahara | Bungou Stray Dogs ) ★ . ☀ . ♦ ➣ beloved wine uncle
➣ martial artist ➣ owner of the inkwell Chuuya is someone who's been a constant in Anya's life since she was 10 years old, someone that she looked up to literally and someone that she looks up to now even though she's gotten a bit taller than him. Still, he's the one who taught her self-defense, constantly looks out for her well-being, and is endlessly sweet and patient with her. Anya knows that she can cause some trouble sometimes, but Chuuya has always been present to help get her out of it or give her advice for the future. They're close enough that Anya keeps her spare key to his apartment in case she ever needs another place to go. That said, reservation has been a bit more odd for Chuuya than others. He's talked to her about possibly pursuing criminal acts, which causes her some worry that maybe their peaceful life together is about to see some changes. It scares her to think that she might lose him but even still... she loves him without reservation. |
Davenka / Davechka ( Dave Strider | Homestuck ) ★ . ☾ ➣ childhood dance friend
➣ co-president of yuri's angels ➣ an anime character? Throughout her life, Anya's always known that Dave would be at her side. They met when he'd first moved into the city and they attended the same dance class. Even though there's an age gap, the friendship between the overly zealous Anya and easily amiable Dave sparked immediately. Ever since, she's considered him one of her closest friends. He doesn't push her to do things that she doesn't want to. Their friendship is comfortable and unmarked by difficulty. Though as she pursues dance and Dave struggles with bizarre hallucinomemories, she worries. She wants to know if there's more that she can do for him. After all this time that they've been together, there finally seems to be a problem that she doesn't know how to solve with a hug and a meme. Still, that won't stop her from trying. In her heart, Dave's happiness is her own. |

➣ works with anya's mother at the hospital ➣ not that kind of doctor Her beloved, hard-working, endlessly supportive auntie. They're not related by blood, but Anya doesn't think that matters at all. Once she met Grell that day years ago, having earned her attention and trust as Anya's mother also opened their house to the woman, that's all it took for her to be family. Now Anya's mother also works as a nurse in the same hospital as Grell and Anya loves to see them both when she goes to visit. As far as she's concerned, Grell is the picture of elegance. She knows about Shakespeare and fashion, but doesn't ever get distracted from her work either. She's smart, witty, and so captivating. Anya adores her beyond any frame of reason. If there's anything that she could do to be more like her Auntie, then she would. As regains continues to hit more people and Grell is taking a role in helping them, Anya would like to be more active in helping her. |
Honoka ( Honoka Kousaka | Love Live! ) ♫ ➣ aspiring sunshine idol
➣ classmate at high school Among her friends, Honoka was the first one who was delving into the entertainment industry first as an idol. She works hard for her agency and Anya had always admired that from a far, though now she's finally wondering if she was onto something. As she starts to consider her own idol pursuits, she can't help but admire the differences between her and Honoka. In comparison, Honoka shines like the sun whereas Anya is probably more like the moon. Her positivity is infectious and sweet, warm enough to touch Anya's heart whenever they cross paths. She wonders if maybe she should be more like... that? |

➣ too tall An employee at the Inkwell, someone kind enough to let Anya slide right into the bar even though she's definitely too young to drink. They don't know each other well, but Anya doesn't think that matters. Toshi seems like the gentle giant type? At any rate, he's someone that she can make conversation with whenever she's waiting to get a chance to chat with her uncle. |

Izumi is someone who Anya adores without question, offering him praise at any given moment - have you seen the way that his face lights up when you pay him a compliment? So cute! He's sweet if a little air-headed (which is... something coming from Anya) but she thinks that really only adds to his charm? Don't worry Izumi, Anya will always be on your side! |

➣ classmate at high school A new friend of Anya's - a sweet boy that she met at the grocery store during Founder's Day prep! They went around together during the Founder's Day itself and Anya loves the way that Izuku's eyes light up whenever he talks about superheroes. Someone so sincere and full of hope just manages to lift her spirits by existing. It's why she's working hard to learn about superheroes separately on her own - if she could see the world like he does, wouldn't that be nice? |

➣ part of the coolkids club A fellow science nerd and one of the sweetest people that Anya knows in the entire city. They've known each other for years and became quick gal pals with their easygoing and amiable personalities matching up like puzzle pieces. They share and reflect off each other's joy and probably summon rainbows and bursts of sunshine whenever the two of them hang out together. That's how much positivity there is. No matter what might be on Anya's mind, she knows that if she were to spend some time with Jade, she'd come out of it smiling. The other girl possesses infectious energy and grand personality that draws Anya in like the gravitational force of the sun - to get a little geeky. Jade is warm, sweet, funny, and so charming that Anya will do anything in her power to make sure that the other never has reason to lose her smile. They talk about life, science, and generally take care of each other even when things in the city get a little odd. |

➣ has the cutest dog ever ➣ world traveler Someone that Anya met just recently over the network - and it occurred to her recently to make the connection that he's rooming with Dave's brother. Small world. Or maybe a big world? Anya thought that she knew everything there was to see in Retrospec, but she found herself immediately charmed when Jake told her about all his adventures around the world. He talked to her about the stars, showed her pictures of Russia before she underwent Intense Russiafication, and immediately became one of her favorite people. And look at it this way - now they're buddies in the Talking A Little Funny club. |

➣ romcom expert ➣ best bro They're best friends and she loves him. Maybe it's a bit of an odd duo considering the fact that he's got a foul mouth and seems ready to fight the world whereas Anya's the most inoffensive personality in Recollé and wants to give everyone a hug - but it doesn't change the fact that they're best buds. Best bros. The best. They've known each other for years and Anya's had years to figure out Karkat's tsunspeak, even though she's readjusting to it all over again lately. Still, she thinks she knows him well enough that she doesn't need specific words to know what he's feeling. At heart, she knows that Karkat is sweet. He's a romantic. He'll look out for the people that he thinks that are important to him. He takes care of her and she will never be able to thank him enough. After all these years, they've never seen a need to change each other despite their differences and Anya knows that no matter what the changes that Retrospec may bring, nothing will be able to pry her away from Karkat's side. |
Kiyomitsu ( Kashuu Kiyomitsu | Touken Ranbu ) ★ . ☾ ➣ rising fashion designer
➣ flourishing college student ➣ a good bean at A Good Bean A fashion icon! ... or well, he's getting there. They've been friends for long enough that Anya knows that there's no one that she would trust more when it comes to style, grace, or really anything that you would find on a lifestyle blog. Kashuu carries himself with confidence and certainty while also being one of the most thoughtful and encouraging people that Anya knows. Sure, now he's an anime character and spews flowers seemingly at random, but she's sure that he can somehow make that into a trend too? As she pursues the climb upward into being an idol, you can bet that she's got his number on speed dial should she ever have a fashion emergency. And if it's not too arrogant of her to think, she likes to believe that if she actually manages to Make It, she'll want to do it dressed in Kashuu's designs. |
Kurt ( Kurt Wagner | X-Men ) ♫ ➣ actor on a break
➣ real popping and legit person An actor from a popular show that got put on hiatus that Anya met - and immediately got attached to. Kurt is fun, energetic, and was crowned the King of Recollé. Simply put, Anya isn't surprised at all. With that infectious energy, how could anyone do anything but love him? She goes to him for acting advice on occasion, especially since he manages to lace every tip with an extra pinch of kindness, but also manages to leave every conversation with a new exciting vocab word too. |
Big Bro! ( Luke Castellan | Percy Jackson and the Olympians ) ★ . ☀ . ♦ ➣ owner of cabin 11
➣ darling big bro The new owner of Cabin Eleven and someone that Anya's known for a few years now - having come to think of him as another adoptive brother figure. The transition with Luke was a bit slower than the rest of her family friends seeing as he's not as immediately protective of Anya, which is... something that she appreciates. Sure, she'll pout about it when it's inconvenient for her, but she does enjoy the fact that Luke seems to trust her judgment just a little bit more than everyone else. (The littlest of bits.) Now that he owns the bar, her visits are even more frequent. She'll do her homework there when she doesn't feel like going home or generally just looking to see Luke. He lets her ramble about the stars and it's gotten to the point where one of the stools is designated there just for her - and that makes her heart so very happy. Luke's good at that. |
Mako-nii ( Makoto Tachibana | Free! ) ★ . ☀ ➣ their mothers work together
➣ sweetheart big bro who sleeps over ➣ works at his family's bookstore Considering the fact that their mothers work together, it's no surprise that Makoto and Anya have come to be really close. She adores him endlessly and he's claimed one of the spots as her older brother, coming over whenever he knows their mothers are both working late shifts so that Anya doesn't have to spend time in the house by herself. He works hard with school, work, and even picking up basketball - which is Anya is always ready to welcome him with a large dinner, a set of blankets just for him to bring to the guest room, and lots of hugs. Makoto is kind, patient, and endlessly loving with her and she just wants to return the favor. |
Malik ( Malik Ishtar | Yu-Gi-Oh ) ♫ ➣ rebel without a cause
➣ but they really might be friends? One of Anya's classmates that she actually.... struggles to understand. It's Complicated? Ah, well, Malik's complicated. He's prickly, difficult, and doesn't like to talk to her, but he'll still take her notes and not immediately reject her attempts at friendship - it seems like they confuse him more than anything? Still, that doesn't really work when it comes to deterring Anya, who requires directness in all she does. So in the case of Malik, she decided (directly) that he's her friend. Now it's a matter of her working hard so that she can earn his friendship in return. |
Mikoto ( Mikoto Mikoshiba | Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun ) ♫ ➣ owner of enchanted blossoms
➣ sweetest cutest nicest boy in all of recolle When they met, he gave her a flower crown. If that didn't set the stage for their fairy tale friendship, it's a mystery as to what did. It's funny that between the two of them, Anya thinks that Mikoto is far cuter than she is. He's sweet, generous, and adorably easily embarrassed - she normally holds back on teasing people that she first meets, but he's an exception. Definitely. She might got a little bit out of her way to see if she can make him turn red.... not that it's hard? Oops. Mikoto brings out the menace in her. That said, she wants to see him happy even more than that. She wants to hold onto his hands, teach him how to dance, and figure out how to make flower crowns with him. There's endless affection for someone as pure-hearted and soft as Mikoto and there's no doubting that he's one of the people in Recollé who could actually invoke Anya's protective side. |
Nii-chan ( Shuji Miwa | World Trigger ) ★ . ☀ . ♦ ➣ neighbors since childhood
➣ probably anya's emergency contact Anya's next door neighbor since childhood - she thinks that she has more memories of Miwa than anyone else in her life aside from her mother and grandparents. They've been together since they were young, which has made him rather protective of her, not that she notices. If there's anyone who's got the worst case of heart eyes for Anya, it's probably Miwa. Especially considering her personal way of "helping" him which very rarely looks like helping at all. That said, they're close. She trusts him more than just about everyone else in the city because she knows it's a matter of fact that he'd never lead her astray. He's responsible, caring, and it confuses her every single day as to why he's still single. Don't worry, nii-chan, Anya will love you enough for the whole city! |
Naoto ( Naoto Shirogane | Persona 4 ) ♦ ➣ aspiring ace detective
➣ crossdressing for some reason ➣ classmate at high school A bold young girl at Anya's school who speaks in no-nonsense terms and has a profoundly strong sense of justice. She works with the police and always does her best to look out for others - which is just a part of why Anya likes her so much. Naoto is a bit of a mystery to her, even with the revelation that she lost her parents at a young age (which Anya half-resonates with), mostly due to the fact that she chooses to appear as a boy on a day to day basis? Doesn't that get tiring? Not that Anya cares too much one way or another - whatever makes Naoto happy is good enough for her. |
Aki ( Nobunaga Oda | Fate/ ) ☾ . ♦ ➣ works at an arcade
➣ tragic backstory present Another one of Anya's beloved friends. They crossed paths one day when Anya wandered into an arcade, and a friendship has blossomed ever since - even though Aki will not always be quick to call it as much. Anya can tell that the other girl tends to prefer solitude, keeping her social circle small. Even though she doesn't understand, that just makes her all the more determined to be a Good Friend if she's lucky enough to be one of the Chosen Few. Among the people who have gone out of their way to support Anya in her endeavors to pursue performance, Aki was the one who took up the mantle of being her Coach during the pageant. Even though she didn't win, Anya is endless grateful for the extent to which Aki believes in her. Just one more thing to add to her adoration. |
Prompto ( Prompto Argentum | Final Fantasy XV ) ♫ ➣ cameraman for cabin 11
➣ like an overgrown puppy An acquaintance turned fast friend - which is how a lot of Anya's relationships form, to be quite honest. Prompto is a wonderful human though. He's funny, outgoing, and so very, very energetic that Anya feels like she's run a marathon every time that she hangs out with him just trying to keep up. Still, it's the same sort of energy that keeps her a mess of giggles and smiles - and she can only hope that he thinks as well of her as she does of him. |
Big Bro Ragna ( Ragna the Bloodedge | Blazblue ) ☀ ➣ tsundere big brother
➣ good luck big bro Easily the gruffest of Anya's brother figures, Ragna appears stoic and uncooperative - .... not that Anya ever really sees that side of him? Instead, as far as she's concerned, he's yet another that supports and encourages her endlessly. Maybe it's easiest to compare him to a teddy bear kind of person? Though even Anya isn't sure how successful she would be in trying to get a hug from him some days, that certainly doesn't stop her from trying. |
Ranko ( Ranko Kanzaki | Idolm@ster: Cinderella Girls ) ♫ ➣ uses very big words
➣ educated college student One of the college students who also has a budding career as an author - and a way of speaking that's very... distinctive. There was a bit of a barrier to understanding even before Anya lost track of her words, but now the language gap has managed to widen into a ravine. Still, that doesn't keep Anya from believing that she and Ranko are most certainly friends. Not to mention as new memories hit them both, there's more and more that's distinctly familiar about the girl. |
Dante ( Riku | Kingdom Hearts ) ♫ ➣ says he's a bad boy
➣ but really a good boy The only person in the entire city that has managed to get Anya to negatively emote in a way that isn't sadness or confusion. It's bizarre. They've just met but admittedly not all the interactions have been positive - Dante has seemingly gone out of his way to harass some of Anya's friends, which is just about where she draws the line with that nonsense. She's called him out. She'll keep calling him out. It's not in her nature to toe around things that she thinks are issues. ... now that caveat here is that Anya still wants to be Dante's friend. It's difficult when he treats the people important to her poorly but - is perfectly nice to her. He even opens up a bit, revealing some more deeply rooted issues regarding his own attitude and abandonment and as someone who's got a bit of a lonely soul herself... it's hard for her to turn a blind eye to it. This is probably what uncertainty feels like. |
Ritsu ( Ritsu Kageyama | Mob Psycho 100 ) ♫ ➣ probably means well
➣ assisting with the language problem Someone from the network who chose to offer her help when her languages immediately went on the fritz. They don't understand each other. Not at all. And it's not because of the language barrier. Anya thinks Ritsu is a good person whereas Ritsu seems absolutely sure that Anya's gonna get tricked one of these days. (She probably will, but if it's not Ritsu doing the tricking, it should be fine.) |
Ryoga ( Ryoga | Ranma 1/2 ) ♫ ➣ strongest in recolle?
➣ good taste in pork buns Surprise, guess who might have the most might in the city? Anya met Ryoga right after he apparently discovered his super strength but instead of talking too much about that - they went to dinner. He seemed like a nice young man to her, though admittedly a little flustered and prone to blushing. Maybe he doesn't have a lot of friends. Anya doesn't really get it, but he's nice to her so she doesn't see a reason not to be nice right back! (Help him.) |
Ryoji ( Ryoji Mochizuki | Persona 3 ) ☾ ➣ sunshine personified
➣ asked her out once ➣ well-traveled and amazing They met while doing preparation for Founder's Day and then within 24 hours of Retrospec being launched, he asked her out on a date. Despite the fact that Anya's not the type to seek out relationships, that managed to set the tone for their entire relationship. Even after she turned him down the day after Founder's Day once she realized fluster that surprise - he like liked her. Awkward. Now Anya loves Ryoji - just probably not in the way that he's looking for. He charms her and sweeps her off her feet just like a prince and sometimes she wonders if he's wandered right out of a storybook and into her life. He's warm, kind, and makes her smile without worrying about the little things. She's not sure if there's anyone in her life that's as blindly loving as Ryoji. Even now she wonders if it was the right decision to turn him down... but ah, life's a little too short for regrets, isn't it? |
Souji (^・ω・^ ) ( Souji Seta | Persona 4 ) ♫ ➣ one of the nyarukami twins
➣ really likes cats... like really You know that someone is going to be an interesting person if you meet them when you're working on a cat petition together. From there, Souji has managed to keep Anya poised on her toes. She never knows what to expect. There was a hiccup in their relationship after blind dates - but she considers that entirely her fault. Without a doubt, she's certain from the bottom of her heart that Souji is a good person with an admittedly quirky sense of humor. |
Tatsuma-senpai ( Tatsuma Hiryu | Tokyo Majin ) ♫ ➣ grandparents' boy
➣ sweet and patient senpai One of the upperclassmen at the high school that Anya has been fond of for some time. It helps that he loves his grandparents - and if there's anyone that Anya's absolutely weak for, it's family. It's gotten to the point where she knows his grandparents just about as well as she knows Tatsuma, who she considers one of her dear senpai. Endlessly kind and patient with her, especially as her head can wander off into the clouds. |
Viktor ( Viktor Nikiforov | Yuri!!! on Ice ) ★ . ♦ ➣ owner of dance!!! studio
➣ fellow russian speaker Is there anything that Viktor can't do? Considering the fact that he seems to go through most of life with an easy-going smile on his face, seemingly pleased no matter the outcome, Anya can't help but consider it one of her life goals to emulate that type of attitude that can roll with... well, anything! (Why?) Not to mention the fact that he's one of the few people in the city that she can freely communicate with - there's no end to her appreciation for Viktor. |
Vera Weisz ( Weiss Schnee | RWBY ) ♫ ➣ comes from strict family
➣ warm under ice queen exterior Now don't get her wrong - Anya isn't blind to the fact that Vera can be a little difficult to get along with. During their very first meeting, she was nearly rebuffed entirely in all her attempts for friendship. Though thanks to Vera ultimately being a very kind person, Anya thinks they're friends now. They learn languages together, sharing in their different experiences, and Anya is happy to think that there's even more she can learn from the other girl. |
Yam-chan ( Yamatonokami Yasusada | Touken Ranbu ) ♫ ➣ kendo-obsessed college student
➣ kashuu's caring roommate After having met his family, Anya can say with certainty that she's not surprised that Yamato turned out as sweet as he did. He's caring, patient with her, and she doesn't at all realize that he too is one of the many who bends to her whims. As far as she's concerned, he's just accommodating! But more than that, they're friends and she wishes that she could have the type of discipline that he does when it comes to his love for kendo. |
Yato ! (*・∀-)☆ ( Yato | Noragami ) ★ . ☾ . ♦ ➣ recolle's delivery king
➣ king of anya's heart tbh ➣ no one loves anya more ➣ this is just embarrassing No one in this city loves Anya more than Yato. They met two years ago when he was an omelette cook and eventually his string of odd jobs led them to crossing paths more and more. With every meeting, there's no doubt that they got closer. Now his interest in Anya borders stalker behavior as he follows her around, makes sure that she doesn't get into trouble, and seems to have a vested interest in making sure that she doesn't hang out with the wrong people. It's pretty creepy.... and yet - No one in this city loves Yato more than Anya. While it may have started off as mirroring, she knows for a fact that her adoration for him is sincere. Yato works hard, never lets failure get him down, and always has the best of intentions to try to assist in the happiness of his friends. No matter what odd method he might use, Anya knows in her heart that he means well. She trusts him with everything - her safety, her hopes, her dreams. Which is why as she considers pursuing the path of being an idol, there's no other that she would choose for her Producer. No matter where Anya goes from here, she knows that she wants to take Yato with her. |

➣ don't talk about graduation The lovely and elegant Yukiko Amagi is someone that Anya endlessly admires. Yukiko manages to appear like she has everything together while also possessing her own sweet, endearing quirks that make Anya smile when she sees them in action. There's so much to learn from Yukiko and considering that the time to graduation is ticking, Anya wants to treasure every single second they have together. |
Yuratchka ( Yuri Plisetsky | Yuri!!! on Ice ) ★ . ☾ ➣ her only tiger apparently
➣ helps her with surprise russian ➣ pursuing doki dokis If you look up "ambition" in the dictionary, you'll probably find Yuri's picture next to the definition. Although they started dancing in the same studio once Yuri moved into the city, it took a year and a direct confrontation for Yuri to realize that they were friends. For some reason, Anya was still surprised to hear that she was the first friend that he had in town. Despite only being a few months into their Actual Friendship, Anya has a dizzying adoration for Yuri.
