Well yes, the issue was never the dancing. In fact, I was actually much better at it than I would have ever imagined?
The issue was that we were doing it on the head of a giant monster in what appeared to be a psychedelic otherworld. Which makes it difficult to rationally analyze.
I don't know if we fought whatever monster that was, per se. It was just... there. More like a giant stage.
I never really considered myself to have any sort of talent in that, but I think I did passably well. Not nearly well enough to teach you, though. You're surely a much better dancer than I am.
Saturday morning, then. 9 would work well for me, if for you. Just let me know the address.
[And sure enough, at 9 the next Saturday morning, Naoto steps out of a taxi at the address she'd been given. She's wearing a track suit, which hugs her hips a little more than her normal outfit. She's still clearly binding, though.
[It sure is the place!! It's Dance!!! Studio and Anya's inside, having wandered into the lobby after securing one of the rooms already. She notices Naoto and waves excitedly before rushing to open one of the doors for her, smiling all the while.]
Naoto!
Добро пожаловать! You are in Anya's home place now.
[Ah, Anya. You are a charmer. Naoto can't help but smile as the other girl rushes to open the door for her.] So I am. Your directions were very helpful.
I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long? [She opts not to ask for clarity on the Russian, since it was clearly some kind of greeting.]
I'm surprised that it's the case, to be honest, but I am as well. I still have no context from the vision I had of that dance, but I remember... enjoying what I was doing.
Perhaps that will carry over across lifetimes. [She looks down at herself.] Is this outfit okay? I didn't know what shoes to wear, so I just wore sneakers.
[Anya giggles and nods - she's not wearing any of her idol clothes. Just sweatpants and a t-shirt. Typical training clothes as far as she's concerned.]
Yes. Naoto is good like always.
[and then she'll take the other girl's hand to direct her toward the reserved studio space??]
It's again the things that make Naoto appreciate her free spirit. She doesn't actually pull away as she's led to the studio space.] So I don't think I've ever really asked you what style of dance you prefer?
I don't actually know what it was that I was doing, either.
Ballet is измеренный! Very... how do I say it... You need to move exactly, but beautifully. It is what Anya knows most... so maybe what I am good at too?
[An easy-going smile as they enter the empty room, complete with the mirror wall and barre.]
Stretching first, then dancing. That seems entirely appropriate and wise. [Naoto nods to herself. She takes a breath and starts... okay, she doesn't know the first thing about stretching, Anya, which is probably obvious. She's touching her toes, but that's kind of all.]
The dance moves I recall doing seemed modern enough. Certainly not any sort of formal or classical style that I'm familiar with. I can try to remember some of the specifics, but I can't guarantee accuracy.
9/3 misfire

dancing is a good idea

Anya, I'm sorry. That message wasn't meant for you. Somehow it was sent to you by accident.
I don't have anything against dancing.

no subject
You are asking me to... practice dancing with you?
[Doki doki.]
I'm certainly not opposed to the idea. I don't know if I would remember any of what the other me learned, though.
no subject

i would still want to dance with naoto
maybe you will get more visions too

When would you like to do it? And where?
no subject

no subject
I can fit my schedule to match yours.
(ooc: Do you want to log it? Or just action thread here?)
no subject
that is the least busy for anya always
is that ok ?
[ooc: just an action thread sounds fine to me if you're cool with it!]

Has Naoto been to a dance studio before?
no subject
[She closes the door behind her. That's a large mirror on the wall.
She adjusts her shirt almost reflexively.] No, I haven't. The other me... I imagine she learned to dance somewhere, so probably?
no subject
[And Anya thinks that's great?? If Naoto has a simple set of memories like dancing, that's fine, right?]
Жанр... The type today is not ballet, but I think it will be more fun? Easy modern! We should stretch first, then dancing, okay?
