[ So it's been almost a week and he's still stuck in this room. Dave mentioned that time was passing faster than anyone realized back home. Maybe by the time they get out of here, months will have passed back home? With nothing to distract him, the memories of another life wallow and fester in his mind. ]

Are you still back home?
I've been gone for a while. I've missed a few work appointments I booked, but if the monsters are still running around, maybe no one will be too mad.
If the monster situation is already figured out, then you need someone else to take over for me for a while. Just long enough to figure out all the meetings and stuff I already have scheduled. We can't leave them hanging and burn all those bridges this early on!!


That's my advice, but you probably don't like it. The truth is, I don't really like it either. I want to be with you every step of the way.
I love working at the Inkwell, but I love helping you achieve your dreams even more. I've always been good at getting hired and making an impression, but getting you hired and making an impression for you has been my most fulfilling work.
I think you might be the only person in the world who would give me that chance, and you gave it so easily. I hope you know how much that means to me.
